I guess first off my wii is version 5. I need to boot Easy Linux right after Wii start. Yestarday I start to hack my wii 4. It always says it installs successfully. Softmodding your Nintendo Wii is one of the best things you can do to it and will give it a whole new lease of life.

I have tried to re install the above but it wont allow it. How to use the guide. Hopefully I'm clear enough and that this question hasn't been asked before: Is it safe for me to power off my Wii?

Looks like i found answer: I used the letterbomb exploit on a 4. Any idea why bootimi does this and any way to fix it? Does updating from 4.
Is there a way to check which bootmii I am running? I then followed another tutorial and formatted the SD card.

I updated to this latest version of HBC and bootmii, but now, every time that I turn on the wii, it boots from bootmii instead of the system menu, so what is going on??.

Can I take the 'bootmii' folder for any other backup I've made and use that instead? I've seen that a similar issue existed in and had been patched.
However i still did not have bootmii installed because bootmii can't install the bootmii folder in the sd card and can't continue the installation of bootmii on boot2. BootMii hijacks the boot process before the normal boot2 is run, optionally allowing code to be run directly from the SD Card. I have ensured the default values are in the bootmii.
